Please park on Mitchell Avenue and walk up through the lower garden and continue to stroll through the other garden areas surrounding the house.
Our garden is actually several "garden rooms" around our mostly wooded property. Inspired by renowned glass artist Dale Chihuly, you will find several "gardens of glass" throughout the property. There are several shade gardens that begin blooming in February and continue throughout the year, an azalea garden that gives way to a butterfly and pollinator garden in summer (featuring an insect hotel), a small pond, several border gardens, and a sun garden (the only garden visible from the street) that features an 8 ft. well-occupied birdhouse. The gardens change color every two weeks with the perennials and native plants and feature statues among the colorful glass accents. The diversity of colorful plant material and the many refuge areas for birds, butterflies, and bees add to the beauty and ecological impact of the garden. Map & Directions
846 Fulton Ave
A blend of classic and cottage styles, our gardens are perennial-heavy with an evolving focus on pollinator-friendly natives. The latest addition features an entry of hydrangea, lavender, salvia, and roses through a honeysuckle arbor. The pool deck and flagstone path lead you to the pollinator garden, where you can sip some lemonade in the small garden café. Stroll the grassy path between the native bed and one of two vegetable gardens, then relax in the shade garden while viewing the birds. Map & Directions
